    InBody

What does your weight really represent? When you step on a scale, you can’t see how much muscle or fat you have—all you see is a number with no context. Go beyond the scale with the InBody Test, a non-invasive, quick, and accurate body composition analysis that provides a detailed breakdown of your weight in terms of muscle, fat, and water. Your comprehensive yet easy-to-understand measurements will display on an InBody Result Sheet in 15-120 seconds.

InBody Body Composition Analysis

InBody Body Composition Analysis

  • Get a clear picture of what you’re made of on the inside. The InBody scan gives you an in-depth look at your body composition broken down into body fat, muscle mass, and water weight, plus it will break these readings down by each region of your body (i.e., your right arm, left arm, right leg, and left leg). You’ll learn about your unique makeup, find out if there are imbalances, and be able to track your progress with follow-up testing.

  • InBody Scale measurements can help you determine the following:

    • Is your exercise, nutrition, and recovery strategies moving you closer to your body composition goals

    • Are you losing or gaining muscle mass and fat

    • Your body fat percentage

    • If you’re drinking enough water or if you’re dehydrated

    • How many calories your body is burning at rest

  • Routine scans can allow you to measure and track your wellness practices to make sure they are moving you closer to your health goals. For example

    • add more strength training to boost your lean muscle mass

    • add HIIT training to decrease body fat

    • add hot and cold therapy to boost metabolism

Our wellness coaches will guide you by making appropriate and customized recommendations to help you reach your body composition goals. Once you’ve implemented new strategies, book a follow up scan to make sure those new strategies are working. Don’t waste time guessing what exercise, nutrition, and recovery tools work for you. Get an inside view with expert recommendations to make those goals a reality.

  • This depends on your goals. If you’re looking to make changes right away, we recommend every 6-8 weeks so you can stay on track. Looking for just overall health improvements? Try scanning every quarter.

  • There are no preparation steps for an Inbody body composition analysis. Simply showing up and slipping off your shoes and socks is all you need to have an analysis completed within 45 seconds.

To get the most accurate reading, InBody testing should be done at least 3 hours after eating or exercising, and you should maintain your typical fluid intake the day before. Make sure you remove any heavy objects such as jewelry, belts, jackets, phones, or wallets before stepping onto the InBody Scale. In addition, you’ll want to make sure you’ve been standing upright for at least 5 minutes before your InBody test; this helps ensure your body fluid is evenly distributed. If it’s cold outside, give yourself time to warm up before your test.

  • The InBody testing process is completely non-invasive and only takes a couple of minutes. First, you will be asked to wipe your feet and hands with a special wipe that will remove any lotion or sweat to improve your body’s conductivity. This will help the InBody Scale obtain an accurate reading. Once you’re ready, you can step onto the InBody Scale.

The first measurement taken will be your weight. Then your height, age, and sex will be entered into the machine. Next, you will need to hold the hand sensors on either side of the machine with your arms outstretched at about waist level with your thumbs on the sensors. That’s all there is to it! Once the InBody Scale has completed its reading, you will receive a detailed print out explaining your unique body composition analysis.

  • People with artificial electrical implants such as a defibrillator or pacemaker are not recommended to take an InBody Test. The electrical currents of the InBody may disrupt the functionality of life-sustaining implants.

Women who are pregnant are not recommended to test as they may not obtain accurate results due to subtle changes in their hydration and body water levels.

InsideTracker

Inside Tracker

  • Routine bloodwork falls far short of what InsideTracker’s plans offer. Your standard physical exam may only examine 10 blood markers or less, which are typically solely intended to catch diseases.

On the other hand, InsideTracker analyzes up to 43 critical biomarkers associated with health, cognition, nutritional status, inflammation, immunity, and longevity. They provide more precise and personalized optimized zones for each of the 43 biomarkers measured—rather than the generic “normal range” you’d get with standard bloodwork. Each person’s optimized range is as unique as they are—and takes into consideration sex, ethnicity, activity level, and age.

Most importantly, InsideTracker assesses your biomarker data and provides a comprehensive Action Plan. This daily checklist includes ultra-personalized, science-backed food, supplement, exercise, and lifestyle recommendations to improve unoptimized biomarkers.

  • There are different tests, but the most comprehensive test—the Ultimate—consists of 43 biomarkers, which can be broken into nine groups: energy and metabolism; strength and endurance; bone and muscle; brain and body; oxygen and performance; inflammation; minerals; liver; and complete blood count. These groups are used because, often times, a single biomarker is most useful when considered in the context of others like it. Though individual biomarkers within a group are very similar, their nuances help to widen what they can see about your health—and, therefore, what you can do to improve it.

  • InsideTracker provides you with a customized Action Plan with science-backed recommendations based on your blood work results, age, sex, activity level, and current diet and supplement use. Using their app, select the actions you’re ready to implement then get started.

Our wellness coaches can use the InsideTracker Coach Dashboard to see your progress and help you stay on track.

  • InsideTracker recommended retesting every three months. Because some biomarkers take months to see any changes, testing sooner may not allow you to see the full impact of the changes you made in your blood work yet.
